Legendary Helvetia Hotel goes digital

Legendary Russian hotel Helvetia takes a step into bettering its outstanding service by upgrading the digital products with Hoteza TV PRO and Web App. Helvetia is now expanding its communication, information and entertainment channels to be able to seamlessly address its guests through one platform on different devices.

It’s a well-known fact that when coming to St. Petersburg you should book a stay at the established Helvetia Hotel. Known for their hospitality, tailor-made service, cosmopolitan surroundings and dedication to an amazing experience, Helvetia has always been more of a starter of trends instead of a follower. The necessity of digitalization has never been a matter of if, but just of finding the right fit. As of quite recently, Helvetia Hotel has installed two Hoteza solutions: an interactive hotel television system and a web application.

“I wanted to integrate both products into the hotel, as I understand that one works the best with the other. These are very versatile solutions. Firstly, I like that when a guest arrives in the room, a personal greeting awaits him on the screen – this is a beautiful start and ensures that every guest feels special from the second they step into the room. Secondly, it is direct interactive communication. The guest, communicating through the screens, can immediately get everything they need, including their own account information and personalized offers. That way, we can stimulate the sale of additional services, ”says Yunis Teymurkhanli, owner of the Helvetia Hotel.

Hoteza TV and Hoteza Web are managed through one CMS and are integrated with all existing hotel systems.

The guest can use whatever is more convenient for him, switching between the two easily. Through in-room TV devices or through their own smartphones, the guest can order in-room dining, additional room service, sign up for spa treatments, book a table at a restaurant, and even buy souvenirs in the Helvetia online shop. Thanks to the unique PMS integration, all purchases will be charged to the guest’s room directly and displayed at the check-out, making their shopping a very easy experience.

“Before checking into the hotel, the guest will receive an automatic welcome email, which contains a QR code and a link to the Helvetia web application. That is, even before check-in, the guest can get acquainted with the application, the hotel offer, view information about the services or even schedule their orders, which comes in handy when you’re arriving at the hotel late and would like to make sure your breakfast waits for you when you first thing in the morning,” says Nikolay Beloshitskiy, CEO of Hoteza.

Since there is no need to download Web App, the guest goes through a simple process of simply scanning the QR code in the room or the dynamic QR code on the in-room TV. This allows them to connect right to the app, or in the case of the dynamic QR code, it makes it even easier by pre-filling all the login information instead of the guest – that way the guest is instantly ready to make an order since all the information is already in the Web App.

“In my opinion, Hoteza is the most powerful player in the Russian hospitality market today. The fact we liked their product and they are also a Russian company makes me feel twice as proud about this collaboration,” Yunis Teymurkhanli summed up.
